Numbers more precise than those guesses are not really available. Then you've got the Cloud Cobras, Snow Ravens, Fire Mandrills, and Ice Hellions, who either due to institutional idiocy or a lack of interest in anything aside from WarShips are fielding somewhere around 30 Clusters each. The Bears would be hot on their heels, as would the Blood Spirits.Īfter that you've got a fairly solid clump where the Nova Cats, Steel Vipers, and so on reside. Given those numbers are after massive losses at places like Luthien and Tukayyid, some fairly heavy action in the Homeworlds, and the Refusal War, I don't think a pre-Invasion average of 40 Clusters for the mid-tier Clans, 30 for the smaller, and 50+ for the largest and most powerful Clans is out of the question.Īt a guess, I'd say the Wolves, Jade Falcons, and Smoke Jaguars had numbers in the fifties, perhaps even low sixties. ![]() It's especially bad with regards to the Smoke Jaguars- and note that they are the largest and most powerful Clan on the list despite the Wolves of the Invasion era being described as having the greatest amount of territory in the WCSB and IC, claiming they had a McKenna, and that Jez did not sabotage Trent, among other sundry claims that either lack substantiation or are directly refuted by the text in question.īy the numbers in FM: U, the "average" Clan has about 33 Clusters, with a fairly even split between Front-Line and Second-Line forces. However, if you check his posts in the archives he never actually provides references, just claims to have done "research" that backs his claims up, which is then never produced. Some things are right out of whack, like the size of the Blood Spirits FM: CC indicates they are somewhat larger than those numbers indicate. I can't imagine any of the invaders having less than a 9 FLC + 15 PGC force in the IS and likely more than that.Īs for "Using" the garrison units, the Wolves let Epsilon take a few minor facilities but that was the exception v/s the rule, I wouldn't think most other clans would do that and most the time they only move in after the Front line units have taken an area. So invasion strength was "3-4 Front Line Galaxies totalling 9+ Clusters (13 for the Wolves)" and an unknown # of Second Line Galaxies (5+ for 26 Clusters for the Wolves). Last but not least part way through the invasion the Jags, IIRC, petitioned to bring in PGCs to take over Garrison duties from the Front Line troops.Īt the time they did that Ulric gave them the okay & then brought in 26 PGC clusters of his own, (Epsilon + 22 others IIRC), that, IIRC, he already had on the way from the Homeworlds and in place just waiting for someone to ask for permission to use them. IIRC, The other 3 clans varied the actual # of galaxies & clusters by bringing partial galaxies of 1-5 clusters each. ![]() Later the Wolves added a 13th Front Line Cluster the 13th Guards for Natasha that was only in wave 5 after the 1 year delay. They also had 1 Garrison Galaxy (Epsilon) that had 4 clusters. The Wolves brough 4 Front Line Galaxies (Alpha-Delta) of 3 clusters each for a total of 12 Clusters. ![]() The final bidding for the invasion took each clan down to 3 Front Linegalaxies w/ the Wolves allotted 4 as the Heirs of the Kerensky's.
